 CHILD SPONSORSHIP

Help a Ugandan child receive an education, learning a formal skill, and be ushered into Christian values.

WHO YOU HELP!

You may help a Ugandan child who is in dire need and cannot afford to attend school. In addition, if families cannot afford their school fees for the following term, many kids run the prospect of being expelled.

COSTS

Each child is eligible for a maximum of four sponsorships. You can select a sponsorship level ranging from $50 to $200 and explore the accompanying benefits that will be bestowed upon the child. On occasion, a child may have already secured one or two sponsors, leaving an opening for you to become their third or fourth sponsor. It is important for sponsors to make a sustained commitment to their sponsored child, ensuring that they receive necessary aid until their completion of College or University. To comprehensively cover the required expenses for schooling, such as fees, educational resources, meals, footwear, healthcare, and other essential needs, every child must secure four sponsors willing to provide a monthly donation of $50. It would cost $200 per month, which adds up to $2400 per year per child.

Below are the benefits that the child will receive according to the number of
sponsorship level

  1. Our starting sponsorship amount (level 1) is $ 50. Here the child will enroll in the sponsorship program and will be able to have school fees only. By level 1 we mean the child has only one sponsor.
  2. At level 2 the child can either have 2 sponsors each contributing ($50 x 2) =$100 or Just one sponsor contributing $100 per month individually. Here the child will have school fees, a cup of porridge and set Uniforms.
  3. At level 3 the child can either have 3 sponsors each contributing ($ 50 x 3) = $ 150 or just one sponsor contributing $ 150 per month individually. Here your child will have substantial School Fees, uniform, Lunch and all Scholastics. The child will be able to go to a quality school.
  4. At level 4 the child can either have 4 sponsors each contributing ($ 50 x 4) = $ 200 or just one sponsor contributing $ 200 per month individually. At level 4, your child will have his/ her school needs covered and will have the luxury learning other useful formal skill and access to basic medical cover in the programs.

Cost Breakdown

For better services in the organization, we encourage that all children in the program should at least have 2 sponsors/level 2 where a child can have school fees , uniform and a cup of hot porridge with sugar. It’s our desire to make the school environment comfortable for the children and the staff.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE CHILDREN FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM?

We pick kids who reside in the areas where we work and are in the greatest need. Many families or guardians struggle to afford the children’s tuition and health care, and many people in Uganda live in extreme poverty. Many of the children in our program struggle with HIV/AIDS, and some of them are orphans or only have one parent or guardian. Our staff/ Coordinators visit the home, meet with the family or guardian, and runs background checks on homestead. All parents and/or guardians must approve and sign consent with Pastures of Hope Ministry®. We don’t discriminate on the grounds of health, gender, race, or religion.

CAN I SEND SOMETHING TO MY SPONSORED CHILD?

Yes, by visiting our child gifts page online, you can buy items for your child or their
family such as; a mattress, food, shoes, bedding, clothing, a backpack, etc. If you want to learn more about their particular need before buying, you may also send an email to info@pasturesofhope.org. Our team will buy the gift and give it to the child and/or their family after receiving the gift money. After that, we will mail you a picture and a letter of gratitude from the child or family. A little fee to cover transport and administrative costs is included in the cost of the child’s gift. These gifts enhance the beneficiaries’ quality of life and general well-being.

HOW LONG SHOULD I COMMIT TO SPONSORING MY SPONSORED CHILD?

Sponsors are kindly requested to remain committed until their sponsored child has
completed their school life that is through college. Children grow connected to their sponsors, but you will gain from the long-term partnership as well! From being a sponsor to becoming a lifelong friend, your relationship will evolve. Therefore we highly encourage individuals and families to meet their sponsored child. Once a year we coordinate and organize the trip with different sponsors who want visit their sponsored children.
