Skills Building

Skillings Building

Our offices will be converted into a center for crafts and tailoring every Saturday and on holidays. The importance of having practical skills cannot be overstated, especially in a nation like Uganda where there is a severe graduate unemployment problem.

The kids will be actively involved in a variety of vocational projects of their choosing. They will create various products that can be used at home, sold to satisfy local need, and even exported. No matter their age, all of the kids will be encouraged to take part in a range of occupational activities.

At Pastures of Hope (PoH), the integration of skill-building programs is driven by the need to integrate a sustainable and revenue-generating component into the management of the organization and project affairs. We are  getting more and more aware that we cant survive on sponsorship alone. Therefore, utilizing resources, developing beneficiaries; abilities, and preparing them to stand on their own by establishing sustainable projects for self reliance, is our major objective.
