Education
SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS can be defined as a formal program that an organization puts in place to connect sponsor/donor within the structure of organization with vulnerable child/children or community. Here the sponsor(s) will provide a monthly financial contribution of $50 to their chosen child/children to give them an opportunity to access formal education, scholastic, and uniform
These kids lack access to the bare necessities of life, including decent access to food and nutrition, suitable living conditions, psychosocial resources essential to development and health, legal and social protection, education, and health care.
Education is the most effective tool available to combat poverty, inequality, early marriage, and teenage pregnancy. Paying school fees and providing scholastic necessities is our biggest financial challenge. Pastures of Hope have enrolled 100 children who are in dire need of help and we want to get them sponsored through school by 2023.
Poor Children – Why most poor children don`t go to school A poor Ugandan child barely goes to school, yet for the few that have the chance to go are faced with several challenges that even force some of them to drop out;
Lack of tuition, scholastic, lunch at home and school and Child marriage, these are the common challenges the poor children face during and after school in Uganda. The underprivileged child in Uganda also lacks the necessary academic supplies, such as textbooks, school supplies, shoes, bags, and uniforms. Lack of sanitary pads for adolescent girls has led to increased number of them missing school or dropping out completely leading to child pregnancy or child marriage. By sponsoring a child you help us keep him/her in school for brighter future.
