A child who is hungry during class cannot focus. The hardest part of the day is the afternoon; therefore many children skip those classes. Children who routinely skip their afternoon classes wind up missing important classes and are much more likely to drop out of school.
A child cannot learn if they are hungry. Hunger compromises children's safety, morals, social skills, academic performance, and overall well-being. It also jeopardizes their future. On the other hand, a daily meal is a strong perk for students as well as struggling parents or even those who are reluctant to enroll their kids in school.
With so much natural disasters especially climate change, the poor countries in Africa have been affected much. Many children have one meal a day; many don’t even have access to clean water. Starvation and dirty water contamination like cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio is double tragedy for the victims
Every child in our program will have access to cup of porridge in the morning and a meal at lunch time during the school day. Additionally we want to provide a food package for our children at home and also own our a farm where we can grow our own food like maize, rice, beans and soya these are part daily meals in Uganda.
